Artists In Mind

This project was created for display on World Mental Health day in October 2008. The staff and service users at Artists in Mind (AIM) took their own portraits alongside a piece of their artwork. The photographs, artworks and words were exhibited at The Harold Wilson Building at The University of Huddersfield.

AIM harnesses the positive benefits of creativity to support people experiencing acute and enduring mental health problems. They provide studio spaces, artist’s materials, mentoring by practising artists and professional support and development. AIM also initiates and manages creative projects in prisons, secure hospitals, forensic units and in the community.
